Educational tours to Japan
One of the important areas of our work is the organization of educational tours in the capital of Japan, Tokyo. Doctors can get acquainted with the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment, scientists with the latest achievements of science, engineers with modern technologies. We will provide you with visits to leading hospitals and medical centers in Tokyo, the best universities of the capital, famous factories in Japan, such as Toyota, Panasonic, Nissan, etc.
We can offer an educational program for specialists of any profile.
Medical educational tours and seminars are especially popular with specialists from other countries.
And this has good reason:
The healthcare system in Japan, focused on prevention and rehabilitation, is one of the most developed in the world. According to the World Health Organization, Japan has one of the leading places in the quality of medical services.
The effectiveness of the organization of the country's health structure is proved by the highest life expectancy in the world. According to statistics, men live up to 79 years, women live up to 86.
The lowest infant mortality in the world, the largest number of places per capita in hospitals - all these are issues that deserve attention. Japanese medicine relies heavily on modern technology. Applied and fundamental research is carried out at 137 institutes.
The basis of advanced professional medicine is the quality training of Japanese doctors, the latest drugs of the latest generation and high technology in all areas of medical care, many of which have been developed and are manufactured in Japan.
Below we offer a seminar program for oncologists.
Seminar "Japan Healthcare System"

During their stay in Japan, Russian doctors will take part in seminars on the Japanese Health Care System and will also visit leading medical clinics in Tokyo.
The seminar for our participants is conducted by leading specialists and professors of the Japan Health Organization, directors of the Board of the National Cancer Center, visiting professors from the headquarters of Kyoto University.
Mita Hospital
As part of their acquaintance with the Japanese health care system, participants will visit the world-famous hospital of the International University of Health and Welfare. The hospital is JCI certified.
In 2005, the hospital became a part of the International University of Health and Welfare, which greatly increased its popularity as a medical institution providing the highest quality medical services.
Mita Hospital is a multidisciplinary medical center, but the institution focuses on the treatment of cancer.
The priority areas of the clinic are benign and malignant tumors of the base of the skull, early and middle stages of cancer of the head and neck.
Clinic specialists advise patients with complex diseases, the treatment of which was refused at other medical centers.
The specialists of the Mita Hospital have at their disposal the most advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment that allows for safe surgical treatment of cancer of the head and neck, as well as other organs.
The hospital’s specialists not only perform surgical operations, but also provide a full range of cancer control measures, which include high-precision diagnostic examinations, radiation and chemotherapy, as well as palliative medicine services (making it easier for the patient to live in the last stages of the disease). In addition, given the various possible complications in patients with cancer, the staff of the department’s departments provides each patient with comprehensive support before and after the operation.
In the Mita Hospital, a reconstructive resection of head and neck tumors, as well as skull base tumors, is used as a treatment method.
This operation is extremely complex, since the nerve nodes that control the brain function are located in the operated areas.
In such surgical interventions, more than in others, the professionalism and skill of surgeons are necessary. In modern medicine, the number of surgeons specializing in such operations in the world is declining, since more and more cancer of the head and neck can be treated with chemo and radiation therapy. However, the need for surgical treatment of these types of cancer still remains quite high.
The staff of the center is a close-knit team of specialists of various specialties with high skill in performing operations and rich experience. Doctors offer each patient a range of services - from preparing for an operation, performing a tumor removal operation, and ending with measures for rehabilitation and restoration of body functions.
This approach helps to achieve the highest possible treatment results.
Surgery of the base of the skull and the area of the head and neck is a relatively young field of medicine. Not so long ago, removal of the tumor from these areas was not possible. Thanks to the development of modern equipment and advanced methods of surgery, today these operations are successfully carried out. In this case, a very complex method of resection is used when it is necessary to reach the tumor without affecting the brain. Surgical interventions of this kind are very complex and require the highest qualification of the surgeon. At the Mita Hospital there are doctors with experience in treating the rarest tumors.
The medical institution treats a wide range of various diseases. Thanks to the well-organized structure of the medical institution, all departments work smoothly, in close interaction.
The patient is served by a team of professionals specializing in different fields, so that the treatment is as effective as possible.
International Clinic of St. Luke
St. Luke International Clinic is accredited by JCI standards.
Created by the American missionary doctor Rudolf Tessler, and consisting at the very beginning of one surgical unit and five hospital wards, by 1933 the hospital grew and turned into the most famous clinic in Asia.
Continuing more than a century of tradition, St. Luke International Clinic is currently one of the best medical institutions in Japan and the flagship of medical services throughout Asia. Today it is one of the largest clinics in Japan, guaranteeing patients a high level of medical care and safety.
The International Clinic of St. Luke is a large multidisciplinary hospital, a research and educational center, on the basis of which a medical college operates and post-graduate training programs for healthcare professionals are implemented.
The main building has 13 floors, two of which are underground. Inpatient departments are designed for 520 patients. According to experts, comfort and a friendly atmosphere play a great role in the struggle for health and recovery of the patient.
All wards in the clinic are single rooms, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay: bathroom, telephone, cable TV, computer with free Internet access. The average duration of hospitalization is 11 days, the outpatient department serves about 2550 patients daily.
The clinic staff includes 250 doctors, 615 nurses, 21 pharmacists, 199 medical technicians, 64 nursing assistants and 142 administrative staff.
One of the important directions of the clinic's work is early diagnosis and prevention of diseases. The clinic practices a comprehensive approach to treatment and diagnosis in all areas of medicine, and "under one roof" all types of medical care are provided at the level of the best world standards in the following areas:
cardiovascular medicine;
-
neurology;
-
neurosurgery;
-
ophthalmology;
-
oncology.
At the highest level, the hospital organized obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric services, radiosurgery and minimally invasive surgery. The clinic is divided into specialized departments and centers that represent all areas of modern medicine, including nuclear, radiology, and rehabilitation.
Since 2003, the clinic has been using a single electronic information system that integrates medical and IT technologies, which significantly improves the quality of patient care.
Modern hospital equipment (including PET-CT scanner, 256-Slice CT scanner, 3 T MRT, robotic surgical system Da Vinci) significantly expand the capabilities of doctors, making their work more efficient.
Juntendo University Hospital
The eponymous academic hospital at the Giutendo Medical University was founded in 1838. Giutendo University Hospital is not only one of the best in terms of safety and satisfaction with treatment, but also compares favorably with other state hospitals with a perfectly organized patient information work.Juntendo Hospital, in addition to treating patients, serves as a medical research and educational institution.
It was in this hospital that they performed heart surgery on the Emperor of Japan.
-
The number of patients hospitalized per year is 345,048 people (an average of 945 people per day);
-
Outpatient treatment per year is 1,092,065 people (an average of 3900 per day);
-
Number of beds 1,026.
Great attention is paid to the problems of oncology in Japan, as oncological diseases are the main cause of mortality.
At one time, it was Japan's first medical school, which introduced the standards of Western clinical medicine.
Ariake Cancer Research Hospital
The Japanese Cancer Research Society was founded in 1908, when the disease itself, called “cancer,” was still little studied, and the clinic is Japan's first specialized medical research institution.
Since its foundation, the joint activities of the research institute and the hospital have been constantly focused on conducting the latest research and development in the field of diagnostics and treatment technology, providing patients with the most effective treatment, as well as eradicating cancer in the future.
As a specialized cancer clinic, the hospital offers the patient the most comprehensive treatment for cancer through surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, etc., and demonstrates the diagnosis and treatment of a truly world-class level.
In addition, the hospital is actively engaged in advanced medicine, introducing methods of diagnosis and treatment, inaccessible to most medical institutions in the world. Also, the team, which includes a therapist, surgeon, radiologist, radiologist, pathomorphologist, as well as paramedical personnel, reviews, selects and draws up the “team treatment plan” that is optimal for the patient.
This approach allows you to fully realize the functionality of the hospital in the treatment of each patient.
After moving to a new building in 2005, the hospital was equipped with the latest medical equipment, the conditions for accommodating patients were improved, and an international center was opened that was actively engaged in the reception of patients from abroad. To date, the clinic has treated more than 800 foreign patients, including foreigners living in Japan, which is one of the best indicators in Japan.
National Cancer Center
National Cancer Center is one of the leading cancer centers in Japan. The main specialization of the center is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various oncopathologies. In addition, the center’s specialists are engaged in general educational work among the population.
A large role is given to the introduction of methods for preventing the development of oncology, as well as modern methods of diagnosis and effective treatment.
Today the Center consists of:
-
two clinics - Central and Eastern;
-
Clinical Development Department;
-
research institute;
-
information center.
A feature of this institution is the presence of the Center for rare types of cancer.
He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rare cancers. Its construction began in December 2013, and in June 2014 its official opening took place.
The center has a multidisciplinary team of specialists helping patients who are diagnosed with rare forms of cancer. Based on studies, rare cancers are identified annually in 6 out of 100,000 patients.
Rare cancers are often not successfully diagnosed and treated due to lack of knowledge and lack of required equipment. Patients with rare forms of cancer have great difficulty in treating these diseases.
The mission of the Center for Rare Cancers is:
-
Providing high-quality diagnosis and adequate treatment of rare cancers;
-
Consideration of problems associated with rare forms of cancer in Japan, providing qualified advice to specialists of other clinics.
The Center for Rare Forms of Cancer organized the 1st International Cancer Research Symposium “Rare Forms of Cancer: Searching for the Perfect Medical Care” in 2015. In addition, employees of the Center are members of the Committee on Rare Cancer (March to August 2015), organized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare of Japan.
The cultural part of the event.
Seminar participants will have a sightseeing tour of the most fascinating places in the Japanese capital. The best place to combine Japanese traditions and modernity is the Asakusa region - on the one hand, these are Buddhist temples, ancient shrines and the true spirit of ancient Japan, and on the other, the widest selection of souvenirs and delicious street food.
Our participants will visit Tokyo's oldest Senso-ji Buddhist temple, where they will hear the legend of the goddess Kannon and the fascinating history of this place.
Asakusa Shinto Shrine, in turn, will help to feel the atmosphere of traditional Japanese holidays, which are held in this place.
Participants will visit the Shibuya intersection, which is considered the busiest in the world. At peak hours, as many as 2,500 people cross it in just one minute, until the traffic light changes. This is more than 2 million people in just one day!
Of course, it was impossible to pass by the monument to the dog Hachiko, which is a symbol of fidelity and devotion in Japan. After the owner’s death, this dog went to Shibuya station for nine years and waited for his return.
We will visit the fashionable Ginza Street and Odaiba Island, built on a former landfill that connects to the center of Tokyo with a beautiful Rainbow Bridge.
During a one-day trip to Hakone, participants will visit a temple dedicated to the deity of the Hakone Mountains, which was founded in 757, this is the Shinto shrine of Hakone-jinja (or the temple of the Nine-headed dragon). The name is connected with the local legend of the monster, which sits on the bottom of Lake Asi-noko, chained by a strong chain. According to legend, the monk Gongen made offerings to the dragon in the form of a barrel of rice, throwing it in the center of the lake. He should have sailed away without turning around, while the keg disappeared in a murky whirlpool ... They say that now the monks perform this ritual every day.
The seminar program will end with a gala dinner and presentation of certificates.
During the visit, the seminar participants will be able to exchange contacts with representatives of clinics in order to be able to send their specialists for training, get the opinion of Japanese specialists in difficult cases of diagnosis and treatment, provide assistance to patients if their treatment is not possible in Russia and referral to Japan for treatment.
A trip to Japan is an unforgettable event! This amazing country will forever remain in the hearts of those who visited it. Participants will receive the best combination of knowledge and experience about Japan.
